Annie Smith, Office Manager
As Office Manager for HRD Advisory Group, Annie is responsible for maintaining office operations and procedures to allow for a smooth-running environment. In addition to general office management, she oversees the bookkeeping, human resource and payroll functions of the business. When working with clients and vendors, Annie prides herself on providing prompt and courteous service. “I believe,” she says, “that prompt service shows that you value those with whom you work.” In addition, her sense of humor and easy-going attitude help her achieve her goal of “making someone smile every day.”
Annie’s extensive experience in the non-profit sector has prepared her to work efficiently across several disciplines. She began her career by providing direct services to youth. This led to other opportunities in the non-profit sector including program and event planning, adult education and fund-raising. From there she moved into a leadership role as the executive director of a small non-profit organization. Here she managed office operations, worked closely with a board of directors and bolstered office infrastructure. The variety of skills developed over the years enables Annie to provide a high level of service to both clients and staff.
Annie has always believed in helping others and continues to do so by volunteering for various community organizations. She has served as a board member for the Indiana Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, as an event volunteer for The Indiana Sports Corporation, and as a scout leader for both girls and boys. Currently, she volunteers for the BMW professional golf championships whenever it is in the Indianapolis area. It is this service mindset that she brings to work with her every day.
